On May 2 the Mezzalama Trophy which took place in extraordinary edition from Gressoney to Cervinia closed the 2015 ISMF World Cup season and the 2015 ISMF Long Distance Team World Cup season – the other races were Pierra Menta and Adamello Ski Raid. Winners of the ISMF Long Distance Team World Cup only for the athletes of national teams are: Matteo Eydallin and Damiano Lenzi (Italian National Team) with the same points and Marta Riba Carlos (from Spanish National Team).

The decision of organizers to postpone the date of the event was perfect. More than 250 teams ran from Gressoney to Cervinia in a spectacular landscape of high mountains all over than  4.000 meters. Winners of the race in the men category were the Italian Military Team of Courmayeur Damiano Lenzi, Matteo Eydallin and Michele Boscacci and in the women category the mixed team composed by Emilie Forsberg (SE), Axelle Mollaret (FR) and Jennifer Fiechter (CH).
