We are just about to finish a very important year, a year during which many goals have been reached: the World Cup circuit has increased its technical level as well as its visibility; the ISMF Series now include new and interesting races that will ensure candidacies for future world cups, in America, Asia as well as in Europe; provisional IOC recognition has been obtained; the Long Distance Races are now part of the 2015 WC circuit; anti-doping activity, thanks to the work of the commission and the professional work of SportAccord, has reached all its goals, with increased athlete education; the Sustainability Working Group is proceeding its activity to finalise a working paper; two new Federations, the Netherlands and Azerbaijan joined the ISMF during the 2014 Plenary Assembly; good connections have been established with the IOC Sport Department, with many members of the whole sporting community and with all the Federations of our three Continents: Europe, America and Asia…

I’d like to remind you that at the next Plenary Assembly in Bratislava  a new Management Committee  will be elected by the member federations. I would very much like to thank all the ISMF sporting community for its support over  the past year, hoping that the 2015 will bring  success to all our member federations and also for the ISMF to continue to achieve its goals.
