Damiano Lenzi and Laetitia Roux have won the Overall World Cup. The French woman has also won the Sprint Race, while the men’s race was cancelled due to a technical problem.
This morning at Tromsø the last trial of the Scarpa ISMF World Cup circiut took place. Unfortunately after the qualifying heats the jury, because of a technical problem, decided to cancel the men’s race. Not having awarded the qualifying points for the World Cup, the ranking remains the same as after the Individual Race on Saturday.
In the women’s catergory Axelle Mollaret, Jennifer Fiechter, Veronika Swidrak, Martina Valmassoi, Sophie Dusautoir Bertrand, Valentine Fabre, Anna Figura, Marion Maneglia, Emelie Forsberg, Maude Mathys, Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak and Laetita Roux reached the semi-finals, and Laetita Roux, Anna Figura, Marion Maneglia, Emelie Forsberg, Maude Mathys and Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak the finals.
After a poor start, on the stretch on foot Laetitia Roux went into overdrive and passed the Norwegian Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak who, until that moment, had been in the lead. Roux did not make any mistakes on the downhill slope and crossed the finishing line first with a time of 4’04’’, Hildegunn Gjertrud Hovdenak was second, while Maude Mathys was in third place. Laetitia Roux with 1,000 points wins the Overall World Cup ahead of Maude Mathys (700 points) and of Sophie Dusautoir Bertrand with 522 points.
As regards the men’s category the Italian Damiano Lenzi takes home the Overall World Cup with 549 points, Kilian is second with 538 points while William Bon Mardion climbs onto the third step of the podium with 484 points.
